Hello Bloggers!

Hello fellow bloggers!  My name is Amber and I am so excited to be a new contributing author on this AWESOME blog! I teach in a school outside of Charlotte, NC.  This is my fourth year teaching and my third year in third grade.  I think I might stay in third grade forever!  I started blogging this summer as a requirement for a technology program that I am a part of in my county.  I absolutely fell in love with sharing my ideas and learning from other teachers.  Check out my blog...

New Authors

Hello Blogger friends,

Recently MMG has received many emails from fellow teacher bloggers asking to be added as authors. In the last few months we had not accepted any new authors due to the time constraints with school being in full swing. Now that we feel we are in a good groove with school, we have decided to add new authors. If you are interested in being an author please email us at meanmygang@gmail.com.

The authors at MMG are what make this blog possible. We are so grateful to all the teacher who continue to share their wonderful ideas and we look forward to adding new authors to our gang soon.

SS Notebooking: Geography

I finally got around to posting the pics from our Geography unit! We did this unit end of September/beginning of October so notebooking was (and is) still new to me. I feel like I've learned so much about notebooking and how it connects with lessons since this unit and I definitely would change some things if I could reteach this. That being said, I am still so proud of the amazing work the students did! Enjoy!

Christmas Writing Prompt

I'm going to be out Monday and I wanted my kids to have something fun to do for writing. This is one of the hardest things for me to plan for when I'm out. So, I created a few Christmas writing prompts. I'm also going to put these out for Work on Writing for the rest of the month.

I hope it's something you can use!

*Scribd is acting crazy this morning, so I'll upload them there later. In the meantime, you can use the link above to get them from Google Docs.

Awakened!

I recently read a great book called Awakened: Change Your Mindset to Transform Your Teaching by Angela Watson. She is the author of another great book: The Cornerstone. It has really helped me change the way I look at certain situations that arise in our teaching careers. I think it will change yours too. Click my button to check out my review!
